Our History: Leeward Roofing Since 2004
Leeward Roofing was founded in Sebastian, Florida in 2004 by Robert Diedrich, a Florida certified roofing contractor. The company has been BBB accredited since 2012, and in 2025 it was acquired by Isbelia (Iby) Durán, Jovanny Roque and Gilbert Diaz, who own and run it today from the same shop on Gator Drive. Two decades on the Treasure Coast, same name, same coast, new family at the helm.

The business opens its doors and begins roofing homes and businesses across Indian River County.

Robert Diedrich founded Leeward Roofing in 2004 after years in the roofing trade and became a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor. He built the company around residential and commercial work of every type the Treasure Coast needs: tile, metal, shingle and flat roofs.
A local shop, not a storm chaser
From the start, Leeward was a Sebastian company serving its own neighbors. That is still the model: crews leave from one yard in Sebastian, and the company is here before the storm and after it.
A reputation that lasted
Leeward earned BBB accreditation in 2012 and has kept an A+ rating. That track record is a big part of why the company was worth carrying forward.

The 2025 acquisition
In 2025, Isbelia (Iby) Durán, Jovanny Roque and Gilbert Diaz acquired Leeward Roofing. Iby and Jovanny also own R&D Construction and Roofing, which serves South Florida and Tampa Bay, so Leeward now has the backing of a larger roofing and construction operation while staying a local Sebastian company.
